Attend a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator training workshop
There is no such thing as an accredited facilitator in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology. The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology is open source and anybody can facilitate it or train facilitators. Please understand the methodology is very specific and is steeped in years of research. Even the ambiance in which a workshop is held is facilitator controlled. In order to use the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology correctly and benefit from its in-depth outputs, it is very strongly recommended you don’t facilitate a workshop without having been properly trained and you chose a facilitation programme that delivers what it promises.
Pete Smith of Teamgel was trained by one of the five original facilitator trainers. He has over forty years of facilitation experience to add to the knowledge he has of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology gained from his original training, extensive reading and vast practical experience. If you attend one of his facilitator workshops you will also be exposed to his specific interest in the subject matter and that is the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology differs from other approaches in that it includes the emotional component of decision making, problem solving and creative and innovative thinking.
The Teamgel the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator training workshops are held in South Africa. If you are from outside of South Africa you might notice the exchange rate of the South African currency. Another benefit is it is two days long. This is because the material is presented assuming the attendees are already competent facilitators, and they have the intelligence to grasp the concepts clearly and efficiently.
At the end of the workshop each delegate is presented with a certificate certifying the delegate has attended the workshop. This is in line with all other LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® certificate awarded. It makes no claim to standards achieved as there is no universally accepted examination. Quality thereafter resides in the quality of the facilitator course offered by Pete, and the ability of the delegate to translate that into superior facilitation of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology.
